Brake Van

AnDel Models Campbeltown and Machrihanish Guards Van.

Andel Models resin kit (no longer available) this kit was built at Boot Lane Works. However, the long wheelbase soon presented issues on the lines tight curves. This had been expected and a pair of Swift Sixteen arch-bar bogies were acquired and mounted under the van.

Together with Swift Sixteen chopper couplings, the Brake Van gives superb running on the railway

LOCO COAL WAGON No23

A very straightforward “Plasticard” build, using 2mm Plasticard and various precut strips.
The whole body is mounted on a pair of Swift Sixteen arch-bar bogies and extra weight added in the form of some lead sheeting.

This is the first model I’ve built since the 1980’s, I just wanted to build something…
No 23 – the number if the house where I grew up.
The wagon is in the queue for Swift Sixteen chopper couplings.

4W 5 Plank Wagon No14

4W Small Oil Tank Wagon

Originally started out as a tender for a US style steam locomotive, when the project was abandoned I utilised the chassis along with a resin oil tank casting from Swift Sixteen to make an unusual “small” wagon.
