JACQUELINE

Built by the Hunslet Engine Company of Leeds in 1888, the design draws inspiration from the Penrhyn Quarry Railway engines. The Morrell’s Brewing Company ordered JACQUELINE as part of an expansion program by the brewery, but by 1895 the machine was standing idle at Morrell’s. Following brief negotiations, Sir Francis Butler purchased JACQUELINE and had her moved to Candlebridge.
